459d Navigating the Hatton Locks, Warwickshire England

When my daughter lived in England we often visited.  One of our favorite walks was along the tow path of the Union Canal beside the Hatton Locks near Warwick.  It is known as the "stairway to heaven" because there are so many locks in such a short distance.  This panorama painting was painted from photographs I took while walking the tow path.  Many people spend an entire summer traveling the canals and rivers of England.  You can go from the east coast to the west coast and see much of the beautiful countryside.
