430d San Salvador Revived

Painted from my photograph of the ship "San Salvador", a replica of the ship Cabrillo sailed when he discovered San Diego harbor.  This ship is now docked at the San Diego Maritime Museum where the "Star of India" is docked.

I took my photograph in late afternoon light.  The water and reflections are fun to paint giving me a lot of freedom after painting the tight structure of the ship.
